Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Converthy handles files, technical data, and other information while you use the platform.
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Overview
Converthy was developed with a privacy-by-design approach. Whenever technically possible, operations are performed directly in the user's browser, reducing the need to transfer files to remote servers.
This policy may be updated as new features, processing methods, or external services are incorporated into the platform.
2. File processing
In the image conversion tools currently available, processing takes place locally in the browser. Files selected for these operations do not need to be sent to Converthy's servers for the conversion to be performed.
The converted file is generated on the user's own device and made available for download directly through the browser.
3. Cloud processing
Some future features may require remote processing when an operation cannot be performed appropriately in the browser.
When this type of processing becomes available, Converthy should clearly identify operations that use remote infrastructure and apply specific security, retention, and file deletion policies.
4. Technical data
The infrastructure used to make Converthy available on the internet may process technical information necessary to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, request date and time, browser information, security logs, and data related to network operation.
This technical data is separate from the contents of files processed locally by compatible tools.
5. Cookies and local storage
Converthy uses browser storage to retain preferences. Temporary conversions and the files needed for them may also be stored locally to provide access to the download page.
The advertising preference is saved in Converthy's own localStorage as accepted or rejected, without personal information. This storage is separate from advertising cookies. Where required by applicable laws, consent mechanisms will be made available before advertising technologies that depend on that consent are used. Before enabling these technologies, requirements applicable to users in regions such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be considered.
6. Third-party advertising and Google AdSense
Converthy may use advertising providers, such as Adsterra, to help fund the platform. These technologies may be used to deliver and measure ads. Non-essential advertising depends on your choice: Adsterra is only loaded after you accept advertising.
You can accept or reject in the banner and change your decision through “Privacy preferences” in the footer. Rejecting after accepting prevents new Adsterra loads and removes the content of its ad placement. This does not remove third-party cookies that may already have been set.
Converthy may use Google AdSense to display advertising and help fund the operation and development of the platform. Google AdSense is not currently active on Converthy.
When Google AdSense advertising is enabled, third parties, including Google and its partners, may use advertising cookies to display ads based on previous visits to Converthy or other websites. The technologies used may include cookies, IP addresses, web beacons, and other identifiers.
Converthy does not send the contents of locally processed files to Google for advertising purposes. Those contents are separate from the browser's technical and advertising data.
You can manage or turn off ad personalization in Google's ad settings. Turning off personalization does not mean that all ads will be blocked.
7. Third-party services
Converthy uses third-party infrastructure services to make the website available, distribute content, and protect application traffic.
These providers may process technical data in accordance with their own policies and the functions necessary to provide their services.
When AdSense is enabled, Google will act as a third-party advertising provider. See the official information about how Google uses data from partner sites and apps.
8. Security
Converthy uses an architecture designed to reduce unnecessary exposure of files and information by prioritizing local processing and HTTPS-protected connections.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. For this reason, technical controls and security practices may continue to be improved as the platform evolves.
9. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when there are relevant changes to the platform, technologies used, or data processing practices.
The update date shown on this page will be changed whenever a new version of the policy is published.
